Step 1: Draw a large circle and a smaller oval underneath the circle. Also draw horizontal and vertical curved lines as in the example.
Step 2: On the top of the circle draw a curved triangle for the ear, and a curly hairdo. Don't forget to draw the lower part of the head and nose following the guidelines.
Step 3: Draw more curly hair starting from the ear and extending into the oval.
Step 4: Continue by drawing facial features; two big eyes, dots for the nose, and an open mouth.
Step 5: Sketch out the body and side legs from the oval you created in step 1.
Step 6: Give your pony a curly tail to match its curly hairstyle. Don't forget to draw her other legs behind the body.
